June Edition of the Newsletter - Shortly, you will receive a copy of the monthly newsletter "Coastal California Journal", which is the first newsletter of our combined organizations. Enjoy the content, and give us feedback on how we could improve our newsletter.
Website Update - Given the maintenance issues with LearnDesk this week, we implemented a contingency plan to create an event-tracking mechanism on the website. Events for June and July are now posted on the new pages. Please review the article below to understand how to access and use the event pages.
A blog article describing the impact and the steps members need to take to create a website login is contained in the Blog Article CCP Website Changes. Click here to read that article. The website login will also enable members to access recorded videos and their member profiles. I'd like to thank Bob Turk for his efforts to move our event data to the new Events Module. Bob currently has events for June and July posted, and will be working on updating events for the rest of the year.
West Coast School - West Coast School is starting June 7th, and some members will be away for the week.

Presentation 6/8/2026 How to evaluate your own image - Tim Mathieson will explain how to evaluate your own images using general judging guidelines in conjunction with CCP, PPC, and PPA rules and standards. Click Here to attend.
Critique: June - Through the Looking Glass - Learn from a monthly judged critique of members' images for the month of June on the topic - Through the Looking Glass. Each month has a different judge and a different theme. Click here to register. This is a reminder that all images submitted for this month's Critique are to be emailed, by Sunday 6/7, to Janice Lindsay (janicelindsay@rocketmail.com). It's important to remember to put the "##" in the Subject line.

Getty Center Instructions 7/14/2026 - Members who are planning to attend the Getty Workshop can click here for the event instructions. Registration for the Getty Workshop will close on June 26th. We need to inform the Getty about the attendees.
Ventura County Fair CCP Exhibit - We have a submission deadline of June 5th for digital submissions for review. We will review all digital submissions and select images to present at the Coastal California Photographers Exhibit at the fair. Click here to read the instructions. Once images are selected, we will send makers a notification and instructions on printing guidelines. ,
Ventura County Fair Photographic Competition - Instructions for submitting images to the fair competition will be posted shortly on the Blog. Remember, you can submit the same image for the exhibit and for the fair. Remember, you are responsible for making submissions to the fair competition in accordance with the rules set out by the Fair. VC Fair Website, click here

Q1 & Q2 Competition Gallery - To find out who the merit winners were for Q1 & Q2 Competition images, Click here to go to the Galleries on the Web site. 52 images were submitted in 10 categories to the competition, 27 had merit scores or above, and 7 scoring challenges were rescored by judges. The Image below highlights some of the many merit images.
