Share Your Vision with Ventura County: CPP Photo Exhibition at the Ventura County Fair

Every photograph tells a story. Some capture fleeting moments of beauty, while others reveal the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary. This summer, Coastal California Photographers members have a unique opportunity to share those stories with tens of thousands of visitors as part of our special exhibition at the Ventura County Fair.

The Ventura County Fair has long been a celebration of community, creativity, and local talent, making it the perfect venue to showcase the diverse photographic vision of our membership. Whether your passion is sweeping landscapes, compelling street photography, intimate portraits, colorful macro images, striking architecture, abstract creations, or something entirely your own, we invite you to submit your work for consideration.

This exhibition is an exclusive opportunity available only to CPP members. It offers a chance to place your photography before a large and varied audience, introduce viewers to your creative perspective, and perhaps inspire someone to see the world a little differently. Each selected print will display the image title, photographer's name, and, if desired, an email address so visitors can connect directly with the artist.

One of the best aspects of this exhibit is that you may already have the perfect image waiting in your collection. Existing prints are welcome, making this an excellent opportunity to bring some of your favorite work out of storage and back into the spotlight.

Submitting Your Images

Members may submit multiple images for review. Due to limited exhibit space, a maximum of two images per member will be included in the final exhibition. Should additional space become available, this limitation may be adjusted.

The deadline for image submissions is June 5. If you require a short extension or can't upload to the Drive Folder, please contact or send images to Ron Kaplan at ronkap@verizon.net.

Because exhibit space is limited, all submissions will be reviewed to ensure a balanced and visually appealing presentation. Selected images will be arranged on exhibit boards in advance to create the strongest possible display for fair visitors.

Print Requirements

Please note that all prints selected for the exhibition must comply with Ventura County Fair regulations:

• Prints must be mounted on foamcore board.• Minimum print size is 145 square inches.• Acceptable dimensions range from 16x9 inches up to 16x20 inches.• Maximum allowable size is 16x20 inches.• Complete specifications are available through the exhibit information link. Help Us Represent Coastal California Photographers

The exhibition is more than a display of photographs. It is also an opportunity to introduce our club to the community and connect with fellow photography enthusiasts.

We are currently seeking volunteers to help staff the CPP exhibit throughout the fair. Volunteers will greet visitors, answer questions about photography and the club, and help showcase the welcoming spirit that makes Coastal California Photographers such a special organization.

As a thank you, volunteers will receive a free fair admission pass for each day they serve.
