About the Course
This TechTalk focuses on storytelling, why composition guidelines work, and discusses a few samples in detail.
Storytelling – Chris will start off the session by talking about his thoughts and experiences on Storytelling
Composition Guidelines – During the discussion, we will cover what and why of composition guidelines.
What – we will cover the Rule of thirds, leading lines, and the Triangle Method as commonly used guidelines for composition.
Why: Composition guidelines in art, such as the rule of thirds and balance, are rooted in cognitive psychology and neuroscience, shaping how the brain processes visual information, identifies focal points, and interprets emotional tone. These rules manipulate visual weight, motion, and spatial relationships to create harmony, tension, or energy, aligning with how human vision instinctively searches for patterns.
Discussion of other Guidelines- To close, we will share information about additional guidelines for members to review and consider for their work.
